Most of my painting are painted on location of everyday scenes. Many are scenes that may go overlooked by most. From small towns to the north shore, I try to capture a moment that might otherwise go unnoticed.
I am a career artist. Though having painted most of my life I made a living on the commercial side of art. Package and retail design was my specialty. Nearly 20 years ago I started painting murals in communities throughout the midwest. Now I am focusing on painting. My love is plein air painting. I enjoy the challenge of standing in a forest capturing the scene before the light changes. Painting has always been my personal creative relief. Most of my paintings have never been for sale. They were my personal balance to the commercial work. Now I am excited to make my paintings available for sale. Select plein air pieces are available and larger studio piece will be soon.
